Monday, 1/4 5 Weeks Out – A

Warmup – dynamic stretch, prowler, sledgehammer

Circus db Press– 3 x 3+, 55 x3, 65 x3, 75 x2 R, 75 x0 L

Strict Overhead Press – 3 x 3+, 75 x3, 85 x3, 100 x7

WG Pullups – 4 x 10, 1 band, 1 band, 1 band, 1 band

3 Way Shoulder Raise– 4 x 10, 10, 10, 10, 10

Curls – 4 x 10, 55, 55, 55, 55

BW Skulls – 4 x10, PP-6, PP-6, PP-6, PP-6

Today was rough. The circus db is my nemesis. I need a lot of work with this implement. I only hit 2 reps on the right side with 75. This was frustrating because the previous set felt pretty easy. I actually psyched myself out of even attempting the left side. I feel like I don’t get very much out of my leg drive. It’s as if the energy is lost, and not flowing through to the press. Anyway, it was bad.

SOHP went well. I hit 7 at 100, which is an improvement.

I was dragging through the rest of the session, but eventually finished. Wide grip were solid, and I think I’m ready to move to a lesser band. 3 way shoulder raises were work with the 10s, but doable.

Curls felt easy today, as did BW skulls. I will increase on both of these next time.

I skipped the finisher today since I had such a rough day and really didn’t feel up for it.
