Wednesday, 5/4 5 Weeks Out
Warmup – Dynamic stretching, prowler sprints
Squat – 8 x 3 on 1:00 intervals, 60 x3, 60 x3, 60 x3, 60 x3, 60 x3, 60 x3, 60 x3, 60 x3
Barbell Rows – 2 x 10, 95, 95
Stepups – 2 x 10, unweighted
Deload week continues with leg day. Feeling much more recovered today. I even turned the squats into jump squats without thinking about it. That’s a sure sign my body is feeling ready to get back into it.
Rows and stepups felt great and made me hungry for more. I took some time to stretch out after, which I should do more often.
I finished up my day with a trip to the chiro to get adjusted and set for the next cycle. Dr. Chiungos is the best and he keeps me able to perform at my best. I’m hungry to get back to the weights and very excited to get into this final cycle of meet prep before Nationals.
