Started a new cycle today. Need to decide if I’m going to buckle down and focus on Strongman Corp nationals or not. I…I dunno. So, I wrote a program as if I’m going to go, and I’ll see how the first cycle goes.
Feeling decent with the loadable dumbbell on the right side, but struggled on my left. By that point, my shoulder was really sweaty and I couldn’t get my legs under me while keeping the dumbbell on my shoulder.
Moved onto the Z presses and hit 12 on my last set. Feeling fresher than expected after the meet this weekend.
Wide grip pullups felt great after the hypertrophy cycle. I went down to a much lower band. I tried out some bent presses for the first time today. They’re a little tricky, but really teaching me to brace and use my body. I think they’ll help the circus dumbbell.
Superset the curls and the coreblaster throw & catch. Curls are feeling great. The coreblaster throw & catch is another move to help me brace my body appropriately while moving weight. Bracing is the theme of today.
I finished with some keg carry & sprint intervals. My keg is pretty heavy right now, but I’ll get better at it.
Then I went for a 2 mile run. I was pretty slow but it felt good.
