Warmup – dynamic stretch, sledgehammer, fire hydrants

Circus db Press– 3 x 3+, 60 x3, 70 x3, 80 x3 R, 00 x0 L

Axle Press – 3 x 3+, 100 x3, 120 x3, 130 x5

Speed Log – 60s, 100# x 10

Floor Press – 4 x 10, 95, 105, 115, 115

Scapular Retraction – 4 x 15, 40, 40, 50, 50

3 Way Shoulder Raise – 4 x 10, 12, 12, 12, 12

Barbell Rollouts – 4 x 10, 10, 10, 10, 10

OH Yoke – 195, 215, 235

Feeling ok today, but not great.  All this axle pressing is wreaking havoc on my wrists. The circus dumbbell felt pretty good at least on my right side.  I got 3 @ 80, which is more than I’ve gotten before.  None on the left side, but that isn’t surprising to me.

I decided to skip the cleans and just do axle push presses in hopes that my wrists would complain less. Unfortunately, it wasn’t much less. I got 5 reps more because my wrists were screaming than because that’s all I had.  I am thinking of a log cycle next to give the wrists a break.

Speed log went well.  My conditioning is holding up.

Floor press felt solid. Still calibrating what is an appropriate weight here.  Scap retractions went up.  Need to keep those shoulders healthy.  3 way shoulder raises help with that too.  The barbell rollouts are tough, but I can feel them working.

The overhead yoke work felt great.  Taking a break from that movement helped. 235 actually felt pretty light, but I needed to finish up.
