Thursday, 5/18 10 Weeks Out

Speed Deadlift – 8 x 1 rep with 0:30s rest between, 225

Good Mornings – 2 x 10 reps, 135, 135

Barbell Rows – 3 x 8, 155, 185, 185

Pullup – 3 x 10, Green, Green, Green

Shrugs – 3 x 15, 185, 185, 185

Rear Delt Raise – 3 x 15, 20, 20, 20

An easy pulling day today.  Feeling good, but also trying to save a little bit of power for Saturday’s bench pressing contest.

I used the speed pulls to experiment with setup since I’ve been feeling like I’m not as efficient as I used to be with my setup. My body feels different at this weight, and since I’m still rebuilding from the hip injury.  I definitely felt like I learned some things.  Hopefully I can put that into action next week.

Good mornings are feeling solid.  I’ll probably change the version here soon.  I feel like I get more out of this movement when I’m not struggling to hold the bar by the last rep.

Rows needed some calibration, but I got dialed in well.  I went easy on the pullups and shrugs, and I skipped the speed pressing to keep my pressing power available for Saturday.

Feeling refreshed after this session.
