Thursday, 5/25 9 Weeks Out

Repetition Deadlift – 1 x 4 reps, 335

Monster Good Mornings – 2 x 10 reps, 135, 135

Seated Sled Rows – 3 x 10, 90, 135, 90

Pullup – 3 x 10, Black, Black, Black 6 + 4 unassisted singles

Shrugs – 3 x 15, 275, 275, 275

Rear Delt Raise – 2 x 10, 30, 30

Hammer Curls – 2 x 10, 30, 30

Feeling tired today. I may have had a few drinks last night, and I had to get up earlier than usual today. No matter.  I’m giving myself some room to play for the holiday weekend, and then it’s back to the nutritional grind.

Deadlifts feeling pretty good, but I got a little aggressive with the set.  I was not feeling very focused today – reference the drinking – and only had 4 reps at 335. But, since that’s actually more than I’ve pulled in a long time, I’m calling it a win.

I felt very solid with the monster good mornings, and I’ll definitely increase those next time.

Sled rows were tough today, and I was humbled by them. I dropped the weight a bit.  I think I was just pretty smoked from the deads.

The pullups went well, and I finished up with some unassisted singles.

Shrugs were a grind. I am thinking of moving them to another day, but not sure where they’d fit.

A superset of rear delt raises and hammer curls felt very solid.

Not a bad day, but I’d like to see those deadlift numbers going up faster. I think it’s probably time for a Deload week after Saturday.
