Squat – 8 x 3 with 30s rest, 150, 150, 150, 150, 150, 150, 150, 150
Log Press Away – 2 x 3-4, 150 x4, 155 x4
Walking Lunges – 3 x 15ea, Hammer +10, Hammer +10, Hammer +10
Calf Raises – 3 x 25, 80, 80, 80
Feeling ready to move some weight today. My Deload week was lovely, and I’m happy to have log on the schedule today.
Speed squats were first though. I was happy with the way these moved. I felt like I got a lot more hamstring recruitment than I have been getting lately. By the end of the squats my hamstrings were on fire, which was surprising considering the light weight.
Onto log, which has been going well lately. I worked up to the set of 4 at 150, and decided to go to 155 for the second set. I misgrooved the fourth rep, and didn’t get the rep. I was pretty pissed that I missed at first, but that rep went right up after I recleaned the log.
I finished up with walking lunges and calf raises. Very pleased with my log press lately.
