What to expect in your first class

For your first class at Meta Performance Center, we recommend that you arrive 5 to 10 minutes prior to the start of class to fill out the new client paperwork (don’t worry, it’s pretty quick.)

  • Water bottle or sports drink (There is a drinking fountain here to fill your bottle.)
  • Towel if you typically train with one.  (It gets sweaty, especially in the summer.)

  • The class description.

A first class will typically be a little slower paced, as there will be more verbal instruction time and the instructor will be learning your strengths, weaknesses and current fitness level.  Once you have a class or two under your belt, the pace will pick up as your fitness level and comfort with the movements improve.

Don’t worry if you haven’t worked out for a while (weeks, months, years), we adjust our workouts to the level of the people in the room.  If there widely different fitness levels in the room, not everyone’s workout will be the same.  That’s not a problem, and it’s something our instructors are used to handling.  Everyone starts somewhere, and we are all at different places in our journey.   Our goal is for everyone to learn and develop while having fun.
